Celebrating 4 years!

Today, Jason and I celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary! As a commemoration, here are a few pictures of us on our wedding day.

I am so thankful for God's gift to me in Jason and the life that we are building together. I love you, Jason - you are my best friend, my confidant, my love, and truly my overall favorite person! I joyfully look forward to the life ahead for us and our family as we seek to serve God and seek to make a profound difference for Him. Thanks for partnering with me in this adventure, whatever may come!

(Btw, yes, we are still waiting on this baby girl to arrive! Maybe today- I am thankful that God knows her appointed time and I am (mostly) patiently waiting...6 days to our due date!)

Mid-May Update

May has been a full month, and we still have another week to go yet! I reached the 36 week milestone this past Wednesday, and things are progressing normally with the anticipated arrival of Baby Makenna! (See the poll on the right side of the screen and vote on when YOU think she will arrive!) My next appointment is Tuesday, May 26 and we'll start checking to see if she's making any progress yet...besides a few aches and pains and normal Braxton-Hicks contractions, I'm feeling great!

As soon as we returned from Orlando, we jumped into Mother's Day weekend and had a nice meal with Jason's parents at our house on Sunday afternoon. Since then, we had a wonderful short visit from my older sister and brother-in-law, Jason has been busy with work (including a business trip to Vegas and back), I have cleaned out almost every room in our house (with the help of dear friends, of course) in preparation of Makenna's arrival (call it nesting, spring cleaning, necessary organization, but it HAD to be done!) along with continuing with normal life (work projects, church, friends, and quality family time). Sherilan's new bedroom is quickly taking shape (after a garage sale this weekend to purge clutter, we can finally complete the finishing touches), and I hope to get her settled in her new room and bed for at least a week or longer before baby M arrives so that she has time to adjust. And, I hope for at least that much time to rest up...(seriously, I AM slowing down next week...).

Every night when we pray for Sherilan at bedtime, we also pray for Makenna. Our prayer has been that she will grow strong and healthy, and that she will come at just the right time ordained for her. Please pray with us for her continued great health, and for a healthy delivery in just the right time! Sherilan loves to put her hand on my belly when we pray, and then as we leave the room, she says "night, night, 'Nenna!" Melts my heart...

Exciting times around the Bedogne household. We look forward to what this summer will bring and are thankful for the Lord's constant provision and presence in our lives and for the dear friends and family that make life so very meaningful.

Here's a few pics of the last few weeks...enjoy (and don't forget to vote on the poll)! (And consider leaving a comment...I love hearing from you!)

This is what happens when you leave a 2-year old alone with a deck of cards...

Orlando Family Vacation

We had a wonderful vacation in Orlando last week with Jason's parents! Jason's sister Jessica surprised us by flying in from Maui on Monday - it was so good to see her and spend time with her! We stayed in a resort about 2 miles from Disney World and spent most days at the pool, soaking in the sun and playing in the water, or floating in the lazy river. Sherilan LOVED the water, and kept all five of us adults busy! We went to Magic Kingdom on Wednesday, which was a highlight of our trip. Sherilan was able to meet Winnie the Pooh in person, which was a big deal to her (can't tell from the pic, though...). Although the entire day was fantastic, we loved the parade and fireworks especially. Great memories.

We flew back home on Friday, and spent the weekend starting to prepare the house for Makenna's arrival! I will be 35 weeks this Wednesday- wow how the time flies. Jason has been a trooper as I have hit the "nesting" phase, and he is trying to keep up with me. :) May will be a busy month, but I am looking forward to slowing down a bit as Makenna's arrival nears.

Enjoy the pics of our trip.
